My name is Samantha and I first learned to bellydance in Red Lodge in 1998 from Joan Of Art. I initially helped with one of her shows and began taking classes immediately thereafter. I was totally hooked!
I currently take Pat's class at the Red Lodge School Of Dance and perform with Munirah. The one thing I love most about bellydancing is the freedom of expression. I don't necessarily have a favorite move, but I do love all things slow and squishy! I cherish my fellow dancers and think it's really cool that in such a large state, we can still connect. I've made some amazing friends along the way. One thing that's challenging in a small town is keeping it fresh; we don't have as many workshops available. If I could give any advice to new dancers, it would be to always keep yourself open to new concepts and ideas. There's a lot out there if you want to find it. I plan to dance as long as I have legs to dance on, music in my heart, and the groove in my soul. Dance on!
